At Body Wax Brazil, we hold environmentally-conscious business practices as a highest priority. We continuously strive to improve the quality of our products while lessening our impact on the planet.

Compostable Products

Unlike nearly all body waxes on the market today, our wax is polymer-free. (Polymers are plastics that can take hundreds of years to break down in nature). Our all-natural formula is highly biodegradable and capable of breaking down into compost in as little as 90 days.

Truly Earth-Friendly

Our commitment to sustainability includes using minimal packaging materials made from recycled, recyclable and compostable materials. All products (except reusable metalware) available on our site are made from natural, biodegradable resources.

• While providing protection from damage, the packaging of our wax is made with durable recycled paper and is 100% recyclable when you’re through with it.
• Our microwavable, compostable containers are made out of fallen leaves and water. (We’re not kidding! Fallen leaves & water… that’s all!)
• We do our homework to make sure the gum rosin used in our waxes is sustainably harvested.
• Whenever possible we use bamboo for our wax applicator spatulas, not wood. Bamboo is a renewable resource and grows much faster than wood from timber forests.
• We stock 100% natural latex gloves that are 100% biodegradable.

Locally Manufactured Wax

You may not be aware of this, but most body waxes are made in Europe and transported to the US. These products are most often shipped to several locations before reaching your local store, creating a significant environmental impact.

At Body Wax Brazil, our waxes are handmade in Colorado and ship from Colorado. Whenever possible, we use locally-sourced materials and ingredients to reduce the environmental impact of shipping.

Shipping

We use USPS flat rate shipping boxes whenever possible. USPS packaging products have been awarded Cradle to Cradle Certification for their ecologically-intelligent design. USPS boxes can be recycled or even better, reused.

Except for our reusable metal accessories, all products sold by Body Wax Brazil are either recyclable or compostable. We urge you, our valued customers and friends, to aid us in our commitment to the planet by reusing, recycling or composting our products.

If your town doesn’t have a recycling or composting program yet, be a hero and help them start one! Composting in your home garden is a great way to reduce landfill waste. And often, recycling is as easy as saving your recyclables and driving them to the closest recycling center.
